Join our mission-driven team as an MST Therapist at our CSI El Dorado Office in El Dorado, KS. You'll play a key role providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to youth, their families, communities, and other key members. The MST Practitioner will provide intensive, home-based therapy to adolescents and their families who are involved in the juvenile justice system or at risk of out-of-home placement. MST Practitioners can be required to drive within a 90-minute radius from the CSI El Dorado Office. This role is community-based and requires travel to the following surrounding counties: Butler, Chase, Chautauqua, Coffey, Cowley, Elk, Greenwood, Lyon, Marion What is Multisystemic Therapy (MST)? Multisystemic Therapy (MST) typically targets chronic, violent, or substance-abusing juvenile offender ages 12 through 17. MST's home-based therapy design helps overcome barriers to service, increases family retention in treatment, allows for the provision of the intensive services (i.e., therapists have a maximum of 6 cases), and enhances the maintenance of successful behavior change. What You'll Do:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals and families to identify presenting problems, strengths and systemic factors contributing to difficulties.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on the principles of Multisystemic Therapy, incorporating relevant evidence-based interventions and strategies.
- Provide direct therapeutic interventions to at-risk youth and their families, and collaborate with other key members.
- Implement crisis management strategies as needed to address immediate safety concerns for clients and their families.
- Participate in individual and group supervision training to enhance clinical skills and ensure fidelity to the MST model.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, including sessions notes, treatment plans, and outcome measures.
- Collaborate with other professionals and service providers involved in client's ecosystem, including social services, schools, court, mental health agencies, etc.
Annual Salary: $50,000-55,000
Bachelors degree required in Social Services or related field, Masters degree preferred.
Three years of work experience in social work or clinical treatment
Social Work or other clinical license is preferred.
Must possess a Valid driver license and have reliable transportation to travel to client's homes an possibly transport multiple clients at once.
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
Must live within 30-45 minutes travel time from the designated service area. Preferred Experience
- Professional licensure in social work or other clinical field preferred but not required.
- Direct use of pragmatic (i.e., structural, strategic, and functional) family therapies
- Therapy with children and adults using cognitive-behavioral techniques
- Couples therapy using behaviorally-based approaches
- Implementation of interventions within or between systems in the youths natural ecology (i.e., family, peer, school, and neighborhood)
- Collaboration and partnership with community agencies
- Previous work providing in-home or community-based therapy services
