Mainframe Performance Infrastructure Engineer-VP

Genesis10 is seeking a Vice President, Mainframe Performance Infrastructure Engineer - Hybrid position located in New York, NY. This is a direct hire opportunity with a pay range of $140,000 - $165,000 annually. This position is also bonus eligible up to 10% based on performance and may include relocation assistance.

Job Summary:

Genesis10 is seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Infrastructure Operations to join our client's Technology Services Group team. Our client is a leading global financial services company at the heart of the global financial system. Responsibilities:

• Investigate and resolve Mainframe performance issues.
• Proactively monitor the system to detect problems and to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Implement WLM changes as needed.
• Communicate with systems users to address mainframe performance or capacity consumption concerns and ensure that performance issues are handled appropriately.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Advanced degree preferred.
• 6-10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
• Experience in Mainframe Performance Tuning.
• Knowledge and experience with WLM.
• Knowledge of RMF/SMF systems metrics (CPU, Memory, I/O, Coupling Facility etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
