As an Estimator, you'll lead the full estimating lifecycle-producing accurate takeoffs, competitive proposals, and strategic insights that drive successful outcomes. You'll collaborate directly with owners, architects, general contractors, and internal field leaders to ensure every project is priced intelligently, scoped clearly, and executed with confidence. - Lead detailed quantity takeoffs, cost modeling, and proposal development for commercial architectural roofing systems (metal, membrane, steepslope, lowslope, and specialty assemblies).
- Review project specifications, drawings, addenda, and site conditions to identify scope requirements, constructability considerations, and potential risks.
- Communicate with owners, architects, and representatives to clarify scope, negotiate pricing, and present valuedriven alternatives.
- Partner with project managers, account managers, and field leaders to ensure estimates align with labor capabilities, production strategies, and safety requirements.
- Mentor field supervisors and emerging leaders on manufacturer requirements, plan reading, scope interpretation, sequencing, and forecasting accuracy.
- Support field teams through ongoing feedback, mentoring, and coaching on communication and leadership fundamentals.
- Build and maintain strong vendor and subcontractor relationships to secure competitive pricing and reliable material availability.
- Prepare budgets, conceptual estimates, and earlyphase pricing to support preconstruction efforts.
- Participate in project handoffs to ensure a smooth transition from estimate to execution with clear documentation and expectations.
- Track historical cost data, market trends, and productivity metrics to continuously improve estimating accuracy.
- Meet regularly with clients to understand facility needs, maintain communication, and assess satisfaction.
- Stay current on roofing technologies, materials, and applicable regulations.
- Provide clients with insights and recommendations that support longterm facility planning.
- Perform other duties as needed to support department success.
Required Education & Experience:
- Seven years or more experience in commercial roofing estimating, with a focus on architectural or specialty systems, is required.
- Strong understanding of roofing assemblies, building envelope systems, safety standards, and construction sequencing.
- Demonstrated ability to build, maintain, and balance strong client relationships.
- Skilled in identifying client needs and translating them into actionable, resultsdriven solutions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other essential business applications.
- Proven ability to lead ownerlevel communication and negotiate effectively with key decisionmakers.
- Experience mentoring field leaders or project teams.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Other Details:
- This position will report regularly in person to Duluth, MN.
- Willingness and ability to travel 50% of the time to local and regional job sites and client locations.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license with the ability to travel to job sites if needed.

Compensation & Benefits:
- The expected annual compensation range for this position is $67,700-$101,500. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions.
