| Position Highlights |
The Career Initiatives Coordinator will provide support to the Professional Development Center with providing coordination and general support for student outreach, career programming, employer engagement, and business operations. This position will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to accomplish goals, in addition to supporting the Undergraduate Programs office. The Career Initiatives Coordinator will report directly to the Associate Director of Employer Relations. This role will develop and implement strategies, systems, processes, learning experiences, and networks that support the achievement of career outcomes including the overall student experience. Some individual and group career-related learning experiences may be required. This role requires to work some evening and weekend hours. The Eller College offers professional development opportunities to our students at all levels. We craft and execute large- and small- scale events to reach dynamic audiences and provide individualized coaching to help students succeed. | Duties & Responsibilities |
Career Initiatives Student Support:
- Support career initiatives, events, and applied learning experiences that guide student career exploration, career planning, skill development, informational interviewing, and job and internship search strategies.
- Collaborate with employers and community partners to provide logistical and operational support for experiential learning programs, recruitment activities, and career events.
- Assist with maintaining accurate employer, volunteer, and student data with Handshake and internal CRM systems to support recruiting, outreach, and engagement activities.
Community and Employer Relations:
- Support the Eller College Associates (ECA), a group of community volunteers from a variety of fields who support the Eller College through volunteering for special events.
- Assist with implementing communication plans, maintaining accurate databases, and supporting volunteer recruitment activities.
- Assist in the coordination of events at which ECA members are utilized including recruiting and communicating with volunteers (e.g., case competition judging, professional admission interviewing).
Business Operations:
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Professional Development Center.
- Assist with financial processes for programs and help compile, track, and report data related to career initiatives, volunteer engagement, and applied learning activities.
- Maintain operational documentation for career-related events and programs.
- Support auditing and updating of the department website.
- Assist with maintaining Professional Development Center physical spaces.
Career Coaching:
- As needed, provide individual and group career coaching in support of student career development and job search readiness.
- Assist with the facilitation of career-related course and workshops.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
- Customer Service skills.
- Ability to effectively work with a team.
- Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel/spreadsheet, and database management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to research and understand policy.
- Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures associated with academic support programs.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
- 1 year of relevant work experience required.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims.
