- Create annual partner development plans to include forecast sales targets and growth projections.
- Ensure territory continuity by proactively assessing Channel Partner performance and stability.
- Addressing underperforming Channel Partners for improved performance or transition.
- Meet existing and potential Channel Partners to build positive business relationships.
- Identify potential Channel Partners and develop strategies for converting those connections into productive and profitable relationships in targeted markets.
- Collaborate with regional manufacturers of complementary products for value-added partner development.
- Manage change through effective communication and reinforcement to ensure Channel Partners understand and adopt corporate direction.
- Have a strong understanding of company products, competition, and positioning in the market.
- Establish a deep understanding of partner territory, organization, products, strengths, and development areas - share knowledge with appropriate internal stakeholders.
- Negotiating with internal and external stakeholders through successful deal conversions, consistent with the strategic growth plan.
- Collaborate with internal and/or Channel Partners on the development of sales quotes and contracts.
- Understand target markets, including industry, company, competitors, and customers.
- Collaborate with Applications engineering and National Account teams to ensure that requirements are met.
- Follow the latest industry developments and stay up to date on corporate competitors.
- Partner with colleagues to develop effective sales and marketing strategies.
- Attend events such as exhibitions and conferences.
- Prepare sales presentations and leading Channel Partner business reviews.
- Train and onboard channel Partners on products, strategy, and tactics.
- Assess incoming sales opportunities for business alignment/viability.
- Provide trustworthy guidance and sales support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Channel Partners to develop a "pipeline" of near and long-term new business opportunities.
- Identify and report internal improvement opportunities and external market opportunities.
- Know the external market opportunities and make-up of assigned geographies.
- Travel 30% to 50% visiting Reps, customers, vendors, and job sites.
Skills and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B.A., B.S.) highly desired or equivalent experience in Sales capacity
- 5+ years of sales experience
- Commercial Construction sales cycle experience preferred
Sales through independent representative distribution - Territory sales management
- CRM experience preferred
- Experience working within a sales team
- Technical sales preferred

As a Regional Sales Manager you will be offered pay of $95,000-$110,000 dependent on experience. You will also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus tied to overall performance of the organization.
