Description

Design, install, and evaluate quality assurance processes, process/product controls, and procedures. Support new product introduction using APQP tools. Conduct training of QA concepts and tools. Interact with customers and suppliers on quality related issues. Work with production and engineering teams to develop preventive actions to assure consistent product quality.

Essential Job Functions:



  • Facilitate problem solving and continuous improvement activities.
  • Monitor and act on quality indicators.
  • Develop and maintain process/product controls including process/equipment verification.
  • Verify internal and customer corrective action implementation and effectiveness.
  • Perform statistical analysis.
  • Perform internal quality audits.
  • Train on quality methods
  • Support FMEAs and Control Plan development to minimize process risks.
  • Manages corrective action system and responds to customer complaints.
  • Manage NADCAP and customer audits and develop appropriate corrective actions.
  • Support new product introduction using APQP tools.
  • Perform capability studies and implement improvement plans.
  • Perform Measurement System Analysis to assure adequate inspection techniques are implemented.
  • Interpret industry specification/requirements and NADCAP requirements to obtain and sustain NADCAP certification.
  • Coordinate with Customer Quality/Source Inspectors as required.



Additional Duties:



  • Provide support for Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, companywide.
  • Other duties, reporting, special assignments, or projects as needed and assigned.
  • Must remain current with and complete all required training as assigned.
  • Must adhere to Company Corporate EHS Policy and department, occupation, and task specific safety protocols, including but not limited to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.



Qualifications:



  • 5 years Quality Assurance experience in a chem processing facility
  • 5 years NADCAP experience
  • Significant problem-solving skills/experience
  • Thorough knowledge of statistical techniques and quality systems
  • Advanced computer skills including MS Office and statistical software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of advanced quality tools including APQP, FMEA, etc.
  • Must submit to and satisfactorily pass any pre-employment screening required for employment with the Company.
  • Must take medical exams required by law, in conjunction with occupation specific activities, the physical work environment, and ongoing industrial hygiene sampling results.
  • Depending on assignment, may be required to use stairs, remain upright and/or seated for prolonged timeframes, intermittently reposition the body per various tasks performed, and use various tools and work-related supplies.
  • May be required to perform manual lifting activities, not to exceed a 40lb lift performed by one individual.



Education:



  • A technical BS degree is preferred.
