Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hospital Full Time in Natrona Heights, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible to staff, patients, and visitors. This role involves providing outstanding customer service, clear communication, and supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed within a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
  • Report and document any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious activity encountered during patrols.
  • Assist staff, visitors, and/or patients by providing directions and responding to inquiries in a courteous manner.
  • Support access control procedures to help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal management and healthcare facility staff to address security-related concerns as they arise.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Vaccination is required for work at this hospital site.
  • Work may involve duties in the hospital morgue.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals as required in a hospital setting.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
