Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour

Shift: Monday - Friday (6 AM - 3 PM)

We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Technician to support and repair 3D printing equipment. This role focuses on troubleshooting, fixing, and reassembling mechanical and electrical components (not operating the printers). This is not a CNC machining role. We are seeking talent who understand additive manufacturing technologies and are willing to support multiple production areas as business needs shift. Successful candidates will thrive in a collaborative environment, take ownership of their work areas, and contribute wherever needed to keep production moving.

3D Printer Mechanical Technician Requirements: What It Takes to Get on the Floor

• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair 3D printing equipment
• Hands-on experience operating 3D printers, including material loading/unloading, calibration, and maintenance
• Familiarity with 3D printing hobbyist practices and emerging additive manufacturing technologies
• Ability to maintain organized workspaces, tools, and spare parts inventory
• Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
• Ability to perform quality inspections and ensure printed parts meet design specifications
• Willingness to support overlapping production responsibilities as needed
• Team-oriented mindset with flexibility in a fast-moving manufacturing environment

What You'll Be Doing Every Shift

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal printer performance
• Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical issues
• Calibrate 3D printers for accuracy and efficiency
• Load and unload materials such as filament and other printing media
• Perform quality checks on printed components and troubleshoot print defects
• Support post-print processes, including assembly, finishing, and packing
• Maintain daily status reports for printers, tools, and spare parts inventory
• Take ownership of the 3D production area, including reporting environmental or equipment concerns (temperature, electrical, etc.)
• Maintain clean, organized equipment and workspaces
• Follow all safety standards and environmental regulations
• Actively participate in plant safety initiatives
