About the role

This role is responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient plant operations while providing strong leadership to all operations personnel. Core priorities include maintaining peak boiler and turbine performance, enforcing environmental and safety standards, optimizing daily workflow, and driving continuous improvement through oversight, auditing, and technical training. A New Jersey State Boiler License is required for this position.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Deliver strong environmental, health, and safety leadership to support zeroaccident performance and full compliance with all permit requirements.
  • Provide effective leadership, coaching, and direction to operations personnel to achieve operational and business objectives.
  • Guide and oversee boiler and turbine performance to maintain maximum efficiency and reliability.
  • Coordinate daily operational activities across departments to ensure smooth and efficient execution of all work.
  • Conduct and supervise operational studies to improve plant equipment and processes; revise plant manuals and procedures as necessary.
  • Ensure full compliance with operational procedures through regular auditing and performance review.
  • Maintain plant readiness for abnormal or emergency situations and ensure safe, reliable daily operation.
  • Inspect boilers and plant machinery to meet performance targets; manage existing technical training programs and develop new training initiatives.
  • Prepare, oversee, and present technical reports as required by leadership.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all operational areas to support a safe, efficient plant environment.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of supervisory or managerial experience in an industrial or powergenerating environment.
  • New Jersey State Boiler License is required for this position.
  • B.S. in Engineering preferred; supervisory or managerial plant operations experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Handson experience in power plant operations, highpressure boilers, or related industrial systems with a strong understanding of power plant processes.
  • Experience with materialshandling systems such as conveyors, cranes, and hoppers.
  • ASME and QRO/CFO certification preferred; candidates must be able to obtain any required certifications within six months of employment.
  • Experience in a specialty chemical facility, coalfired power plant, or environment with significant material handling is strongly preferred.
  • Maintenance experience with outages and rotating or electrical generation equipment, including turbines and generators.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong understanding of electrical and control systems, air compressors, condensate pumps, and cooling water systems.
  • Knowledge of solidfuel combustion and materialshandling processes.
  • Proficiency in continuous improvement methodologies and safety/incident management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to support offhours and oncall assignments as required.
  • Handson, analytical problemsolver with strong troubleshooting and rootcauseanalysis capabilities.
  • Careergrowth mindset with the ability to learn quickly.
Shift
  • Monday through Friday, with some evenings and weekends as needed.

Pay Transparency

Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $136,600.00 - $195,300.00 USD. For hourly roles, this is the annualized salary. To calculate the hourly rate, divide by 2080.
