About the role:

The Senior Sourcing Specialist plays a key role in supporting the development and execution of sourcing and category strategies, with an emphasis on supplier management, contracting, and crossfunctional collaboration. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders to manage sourcing initiatives, lead competitive sourcing events, perform pricing and cost analyses, and ensure alignment with Boston Scientific's privacy, cybersecurity, legal, and compliance requirements.

The position contributes to global sourcing initiatives and supports continuous improvement through datadriven decision making, supplier performance management, and category insights.

Work Mode:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in our local office at three days per week.

Your responsibilities will include:



  • Support and execute endtoend sourcing activities, including development and issuance of RFPs/RFIs, supplier identification, bid evaluations, and cost and pricing analyses.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for suppliers, managing daytoday communications, participating in recurring and ad hoc meetings, and supporting issue resolution.
  • Partner with crossfunctional teams (e.g., HR, Legal, Privacy, Cybersecurity, Finance) to complete privacy impact assessments, cybersecurity risk assessments, and legal intake requirements for new and existing suppliers.
  • Facilitate contract development, negotiation, and execution through established procurement and approval workflows.
  • Support the development and execution of category strategies, with an initial focus on Human Resources-related categories such as benefits, relocation services, talent management, recruiting, payroll services, and other indirect spend areas, as needed.
  • Evaluate, select, and manage suppliers to ensure alignment with business needs, quality standards, innovation goals, and total cost objectives; support negotiations to achieve competitive and sustainable commercial terms.
  • Collaborate with regional and global sourcing teams to drive alignment with enterprise sourcing strategies, policies, and governance standards.
  • Track, analyze, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supplier performance, cost savings, cost avoidance, and category effectiveness.
  • Leverage market intelligence, benchmarking, and spend analytics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and value creation.



Required qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree with 5-10 years of relevant sourcing, procurement, or category management experience, or
    MBA with 4-8 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in category management, supplier negotiations, and contract lifecycle management.
  • Experience applying datadriven analysis, performance metrics, and structured sourcing methodologies to deliver measurable business results.

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
