JOB DESCRIPTION

TMZ is seeking an experienced Line Producer to join our Production team. This position will be responsible for budgeting, scheduling, and managing day-to-day production operations, ensuring shows/projects are delivered on time and on budget. The Line Producer will report to the Executive in Charge and be responsible for daily production needs and long-term projects. This job is located in Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations during prep, production and post.
  • Ensure all production activities comply with safety regulations, insurance requirements, and labor laws.
  • Oversee all production elements including crew hiring, vendor negotiations, locations, equipment and logistics.
  • Supervise production staff including Production Manager, Coordinator and PA's.
  • Partner with TA to oversee PA staffing for the department.
  • Create and maintain production schedules, call sheets and shoot/feed schedules in collaboration with the production team.
  • Manage travel budgets and logistics for all staff and crew.
  • Compile and manage wrap documentation for all projects.
  • Draft and manage agreements for fixed-term staff (deal memo's, freelance agreements, etc)
  • Track, generate and manage all PO and Petty Cash related expenses.
  • Knowledge and experience handling permits, releases, location agreements and COI's
  • Manage all account reconciliations.
  • Serve as primary liaison with vendors.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of industry experience at this level
  • Proven experience as a Line Producer or Senior Production Manager
  • Demonstrated experience working within corporate, network, studio or streaming company environments
  • Strong understanding of television and/or news workflows
  • Strong budgeting and scheduling skills
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as production demands

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $105,000.00-119,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
