We are seeking resumes for a Maintenance Superintendent in our International Falls, Minnesota facility which is a Paper Mill owned by Packaging Corporation of America.



Responsibilities:
The function of this position is to provide direction and leadership to insure the maintenance, repair, and installation of plant mechanical equipment and electrical equipment and facilities meet department and mill objectives. This position is responsible for developing and implementing plans to insure safety, quality, productivity, and efficient utilization of maintenance personnel. Support the operating departments by providing maintenance input on long-term equipment decisions and maintaining the existing equipment to insure maximum uptime. Arrange for supporting services from outside contractors and equipment required to meet department needs. Assure selection, training, and evaluation of hourly and salary maintenance personnel. Perform performance reviews and salary administration for supervisors. Provide input to the daily and weekly planning to insure work schedules and manpower assignments are cost effective. Establish, implement, and monitor the preventive maintenance program to reduce unscheduled downtime. This position will require strong leadership in safety.


Basic Qualifications:
Engineering degree required or equivalent experience with five to ten years demonstrated management and leadership abilities.


Must also demonstrate strong customer focus, good communication skills, positive attitude and the ability to perform in a motivated team environment.


Must be eligible to work in the U.S.


Must have a valid and current driver's license.



Preferred Qualifications:


Eight to ten years' experience and proven technical knowledge of maintenance/engineering functions, pulp and paper manufacturing environment experience.

Compensation and Benefits



  • Starting salary range for position: $108,500 to $170,000.
  • Paid Vacation.

  • Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision - and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
  • Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
