Structured Cabling Technician Location: Vero Beach Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday Contract Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire Compensation: Based on experience, skillset, and industry certifications About the Role We are seeking a Structured Cabling Technician to join a growing team within a long-established low-voltage company (est. 1987). In this role, you will support the installation and upgrade of low-voltage wiring infrastructure in large residential homes and the occasional small commercial site. This is an excellent opportunity to enter a rapidly growing industry-no previous experience required, as long as you're motivated and eager to learn. Top Skills & Experience Must-Have Experience * Low-voltage experience, ideally in residential environments * Ability to run and pull cabling through homes and small commercial buildings * Open to candidates with 0 experience who have the right attitude and willingness to learn Nice-to-Have Skills * Structured cabling * Access control installation * CAT5/CAT6 cable pulling * Coax cabling * Termination, labeling, testing * Installation experience (low voltage or general construction) Key Responsibilities As a Structured Cabling Technician, you will: * Upgrade client low-voltage infrastructure * Pull, run, and route cabling (CAT6, coax, etc.) through residential and commercial structures * Install access points and related equipment * Perform drilling, labeling, testing, and cable termination * Pull cable through drop ceilings where applicable * Operate hand tools, power tools, and ladders * Climb ladders and carry up to 50 lbs * Maintain strict adherence to company and client safety standards * Assist team members with installation tasks * Submit daily time sheets * Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent preferred * Military service experience welcomed * Construction or residential cable installation experience is a plus * Willingness to work full-time Monday-Friday, with overtime as needed Skills & Abilities * Strong ability to listen and follow instructions * Positive attitude and strong work ethic * High attention to detail * Self-motivated and punctual * Strong teamwork and adaptability * Ability to read, speak, and write in English Employee Value Proposition (Why Work Here?) * Opportunity to enter a booming industry with long-term career potential * Work for a reputable company operating since 1987 * Training and development provided * Potential for full-time employment after 6-month contract * Ability to ride-share with a technician to job sites Work Environment * Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM * Primarily large residential home environments * Occasional small business job sites * Work at different locations daily Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vero Beach, FL.
