Structured Cabling Technicians (Levels 1-3) Location: North Charleston, SC Overview A large structured cabling project is starting in North Charleston, SC, and we are hiring multiple technicians across Levels 1-3 to support new construction and existing facilities. This is a longterm project working alongside experienced permanent staff in a teambased environment. Open Positions * Junior Technicians (Level 1-2) - 2 openings * Senior* Technician (Level 3)* - 1 opening Work Environment * New construction and existing facilities * Steeltoed boots required * PPE will be provided * Commercial jobsite environment Responsibilities Level 3 Technician (Senior) * Run and install structured cabling (Cat6) * Perform punchdowns in telecommunications/com closets * Terminate jacks and test cabling * Hang cable using Jhooks * Work closely with lead technicians and permanent staff * Maintain quality, productivity, and jobsite professionalism Required Tools: * Punchdown tool with 66 & 110 blades * Snips * Utility knife Level 1-2 Technicians (Junior) * Pull and route structured cabling * Hang cable using Jhooks * Assist Senior technicians with terminations and punchdowns * Learn industry best practices on the job * Maintain a clean and organized work area Required Tools: * Snips * Utility knife * Steeltoed boots Required Skills * Cat6 cabling * Punchdown terminations * Basic testing and termination knowledge (for higher levels) Additional Qualifications * Professional, customerfacing demeanor * Strong communication skills * Ability to work well in a team environment * Selfmotivated with a strong willingness to learn * Minimal supervision required Common Reasons Technicians Do Not Succeed on This Project * Failure to show up or calling out last minute * Chronic lateness * Excessive phone use on the job * Poor attitude or behavior that impacts team productivity Experience Level * Multiple levels open (Junior through Senior) * Compensation and responsibilities aligned with experience Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Charleston, SC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
