The Private Wealth management (PWM) business within Asset & Wealth Management division provides comprehensive Investment Management services and advice across a full range of asset classes for very high net worth individuals. This platform helps realize a client's goals and objectives, develops, and implements an integrated wealth management plan and delivers first-class client service.

Private Wealth Management

The Private Wealth Management (PWM) business provides end to end Investment Management services and advice across a broad range of asset classes for high-net-worth individuals. PWM leverages a global technology platform offering, an integrated suite of tools, and applications to onboard clients. Our software helps realize a client's goals and objectives, develops, and implements an integrated wealth management plan and delivers first-class client service. The successful candidate will join the global PWM Private Bank team. We are developing digital solutions to help clients connect and engage with Goldman Sachs. We work closely with our business partners to streamline business workflows and drive growth.

How You Will Fulfill Your Potential

In Wealth Management, we help our clients pursue their wealth management goals through careful advice & astute investment management. Wealth Management Engineering plays a pivotal role in building the tools and applications our business needs to effectively manage and support our client's diverse requirements. We support the entire user experience starting with onboarding through to maintenance, transfers, reporting, as well as providing clients access to their portfolios online. As part of the Private Banking platforms, being built on AWS Cloud, we're looking for strong engineers with expertise in AWS and CFT OR a strong willingness to upskill and learn cloud technologies.

Role Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated test frameworks and test suites for critical financial applications. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and resilient software solutions that meet the rigorous demands of the financial industry. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on our technology landscape, contributing to systems that handle vast amounts of data and support complex financial transactions.

Responsibilities:

Design and Develop Automation Frameworks: Architect, implement, and enhance scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks using industry-standard tools and programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#).

Create Automated Test Suites: Develop comprehensive automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing across various application layers (UI, API, database).

Integrate with CI/CD Pipelines: Embed automated tests into continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to enable rapid feedback and accelerate release cycles.

Collaborate with Development Teams: Work closely with software engineers to understand application architecture, features, and technical designs, ensuring testability and comprehensive test coverage.

Identify and Report Defects: Accurately identify, document, and track software defects, working with development teams to ensure timely resolution.

Performance and Load Testing: Contribute to the design and execution of performance, load, and stress tests to identify bottlenecks and ensure application scalability.

Mentorship and Best Practices: Advocate for and implement QA best practices, test automation strategies, and quality gates throughout the software development lifecycle.

Stay Current with Technology: Continuously research and evaluate new testing tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the QA process.

Risk Management: Understand and mitigate risks associated with software quality in a highly regulated financial environment.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with a strong focus on test automation.

Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#).

Extensive experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG, Pytest, NUnit).

Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, principles, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC) in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Rest Assured, SoapUI).

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).

Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Experience with database testing and SQL.

Familiarity with financial services concepts or prior experience in a financial technology environment.

Experience with behavior-driven development (BDD) frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, SpecFlow).

Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB).
