Fixed Asset Accounting Manager

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a global organization headquartered in Atlanta for an experienced and strategic Fixed Asset Accounting Manager. Overview
The Fixed Asset Accounting Manager will lead a team of accounting professionals and oversee all aspects of fixed asset accounting. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate depreciation, asset capitalization, month-end close processes, audit support, internal controls, reconciliations, reporting, and continuous process improvement initiatives related to fixed assets. This is a highly visible leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and a proactive approach to driving efficiency and compliance. Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead and develop a team of Fixed Asset Accountants
  • Oversee depreciation calculations and asset capitalization processes
  • Manage month-end close activities related to fixed assets
  • Ensure accuracy of reconciliations and financial reporting
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Drive process improvements and system enhancements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and other departments

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership of a Fixed Asset Accounting team
  • CPA or CMA strongly preferred
  • Experience in a large, complex organization preferred
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and fixed asset accounting software
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally
  • Demonstrated track record of job stability and career progression
