Job Description




As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Driver in La Porte, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate contacts and completing required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes while watching for unusual conditions and potential policy violations.
  • Monitor alarms, gates, and/or entry points as assigned, documenting security-related activity and escalating concerns through the chain of command.
  • Support compliance with site rules such as restricted areas and prohibited items by communicating expectations, observing activity, and requesting assistance from management and/or responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A TSA Issued TWIC is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
