As a UX Researcher on the UHC Provider Intelligence team, you will work closely with various product and business stakeholders to help inform how we design for various features and experiences.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and support working sessions with subject matter experts to extract, validate, and document current state processes and variations
  • Document detailed current state process flows, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and traceability across functions, systems, and user groups
  • Identify process variations and operational challenges, including bottlenecks, pain points, workaround activity, and inconsistencies across teams or markets
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative inputs to surface meaningful insights and themes that inform improvement opportunities
  • Synthesize research findings to identify best practices, industry benchmarks, and opportunities for process optimization
  • Translate insights into actionable, prioritized recommendations that guide the futurestate redesign and inform strategic decisionmaking
  • Identify best practices and opportunities for enhancement, contributing to the development of future state concepts and process improvements
  • Support the broader team by maintaining organized documentation, synthesizing findings, and ensuring updates are reflected across project materials

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience researching for application development
  • 4+ years of experience with prominent industry design tools
  • 2+ years of experience building and/or utilizing personas to inform design decisions
  • 2+ years of experience working in cross functional teams
  • 2+ years of experience presenting to stakeholders
  • Proven solid communication skills with comfort leading, hosting, and presenting information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Healthcare, government, finance or other highly regulated industry experience
  • Experience and proven ability to work across a matrixed multi-tiered organization and deliver the best possible outcomes
  • Experience with Agile product development
  • Experience researching for AI-powered experiences
  • Experience with information architecture

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
