Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Agent in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with clear communication and professionalism. You will document observations, assist staff and visitors, and coordinate with local responders as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff and visitors at a government location by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
  • Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with Allied Universal protocols, applicable laws, and site procedures while maintaining proper weapon retention and control.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, coordination with public agencies, and timely notification to site leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Complete written reports and logs for security-related incidents, patrol activity, and notable observations, and support access control measures such as checking identification and monitoring entry points as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3+ years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associates degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
