Position Summary
This role supports the successful planning and execution of the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) Aging Conference; a national conference focused on aging research and gerontology, and the advancement of scholars from HBCUs.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Assist with conference planning, logistics, and on-site coordination
  • Support communication with speakers, panelists, sponsors, and student participants
  • Assist with travel arrangements, scheduling, and program materials
  • Provide support for marketing and outreach efforts (email campaigns, social media, website updates)
  • Prepare conference packets
  • Support data collection and post-conference evaluation efforts
  • Provide general administrative support to the conference leadership team

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Management Preferences

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Prior conference planning experience.
