Job Summary

Under general supervision, leads daily operations across Nutrition & Food Services areas, including patient services, retail, sanitation, production, and nutrition support. Drives regulatory compliance, food safety, service excellence, and teammate engagement. Key Responsibilities

1. Ensures continuous compliance with food safety, infection prevention, Life Safety, and regulatory standards (TJC, FDA Food Code, state regulations). Maintains ServSafe Manager certification and leads proactive survey readiness.

2. Uses operational, financial, and quality metrics to prioritize work and improve performance. Translates departmental goals into daily behaviors and acts on identified improvement opportunities.

3. Recruits, trains, coaches, and develops teammates. Conducts performance evaluations aligned with organizational values. Provides real-time feedback and implements corrective action when necessary in accordance with policy.

4. Maintains high sanitation standards and reinforces safe food handling practices. Leads by example in maintaining inspection-ready environments and collaborates with Plant Engineering, Infection Prevention, and Environmental Health & Safety to resolve risks.

5. Manages staffing models aligned with operational demand and productivity targets. Oversees time and attendance, payroll, and scheduling to support fiscal stewardship and equitable workload distribution.

6. Facilitates regular team huddles and staff meetings focused on safety, service, quality, and culture alignment. Communicates departmental updates clearly and consistently and encourages feedback.

7. Oversees food preparation, presentation, and distribution to support patient healing and teammate satisfaction. Ensures therapeutic diet compliance, accurate trayline execution, temperature monitoring, taste testing, and merchandising standards.

Preferences:

Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience preferred

*ServeSafe Manager Certification is required within the designated timeframe and must be maintained per state regulations.
