Telecommunications Technician (Contract-to-Hire) Location: Knoxville Market Travel: Possibly up to 50% (including overnight stays) Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week + overtime opportunities Contract Length: 6-month CTH with strong potential for conversion About the Role We are seeking motivated low voltage helper to support a variety of inbuilding wireless and lowvoltage projects across the Tennessee market. This includes work involving DAS, low-voltage installation, fiber, coax, public safety systems, ODAS/IDAS, new construction, and existing campus environments. This team supports customers across federal, state, and local government sectors, as well as education, healthcare, transportation, and large venue environments. Candidates must be open to travel-up to 50%, with occasional multiday overnight stays. This is a longterm opportunity with a strong history of converting contractors to fulltime employees. Responsibilities * Support installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of lowvoltage and wireless infrastructure * Perform fiber and coax installation, termination, and testing * Install cable pathways including Jhooks and structured cabling (Cat6) * Read and interpret construction blueprints * Conduct on-site surveys and document findings * Work collaboratively on new builds and existing infrastructure upgrades * Provide quality customer-facing service and communication Qualifications Required * Strong work ethic and reliability * Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with basic hand tools * Ability to problem-solve and think critically * Willingness to learn, grow, and take initiative * Effective communication and teamwork skills Preferred Experience (Not all required-open to entry-level candidates or trade school graduates) * Low-voltage installation * Fiber and coax installation * Cable pulling and structured cabling * Telecommunications or wireless network installation * Blueprint reading * Construction or ISP/OSP experience * Troubleshooting and site survey experience Skills (Relevant Experience Includes): * Fiber * Coax * Low Voltage * Cat6 * Cabling & Cable Installation * JHooks * Wireless * Telecom * Construction * Cable Pulling * Troubleshooting * ODAS/IDAS * Blueprint Reading * Install * WAP installation Employee Value Proposition * Opportunity to work for a major industry leader supporting smart technologies and smart infrastructure projects * Onthejob training and opportunities for additional certifications * PTO, holiday options, and benefits upon conversion * Company-provided tools * Long-term growth with a rapidly expanding organization Ideal Candidate Profile (Helper-Level Included) * Strong mechanical aptitude * Open to candidates with limited experience or trade school graduates * Willingness to learn and grow within the field * Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and a teamfirst mindset Contract to hire role; standard onboarding process.
