The Role:

Entegris is currently seeking a Materials Manager to join our Advanced Purity Solutions Division. This position will be at our San Luis Obispo, CA facility.

TheMaterialsManagerwill have the responsibility to ensure that our production schedule is efficient and able to capture the needs of internal and external customers. You will work with business units, procurement, planners, I/T, customerserviceand otherappropriate resourcesto strategically plan and coordinate the flow of materials and information from customers through order fulfillment. In this role you will lead a team of productionplannersand partner directly with the Centralized Planning and Buying extended team on strategic and futureproject-relatedimprovements and changes.The Materials Manager isalsoresponsible for the strategic direction of thewarehouse teams and will partner with operations and other key functional partners to ensure that Entegris is able to remain competitive.The manager will report directly to theDirectorof Operations.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop, implement, and sustain policies, procedures, and material control systems.
  • Manage a team of7direct reports including warehouse and shipping supervisors,productionplannersand othersin regard todaily coaching, performance management, discipline, and succession planning.
  • Ensure materials are plannedtocompany and customer requirements, whilemaintainingacceptable inventory levels.manufacturing and engineering.
  • Develop production schedules and coordinate the efficient movement of materials in support ofmanufacturing and engineering.
  • Prepare material requirement plans using enterprise resource planning systems as well as assist withestablishing,maintaining, and improving theproduction control system
  • Partner with Global Supply Chain, Supplier Quality and Marketing to ensure supplier and supply chain strategies are robust.
  • Support divisional S&OPprocessthrough analysis and recommendationsto create an effective demand management process.
  • Implements a lean approach to materials managementincludingcapacity models and processes that enable effective planning and lead time strategies
  • Actively collaborates and develops relationships with other business stakeholders to drive business process improvements.
  • Proactivelyidentifysolutions in warehousing and scheduling that increase efficiency and performance toward improving delivery, leadtimeand cost.
  • Create development plans for materials management team members and ensuretalentpipeline is in place for key functions.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturingand the Business Unit(BU)tooptimizeinventory levelsto ensure premier customer service.
  • Create a healthy and safe work environment for all employees.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

What We Seek:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management.
  • 7+yearsmaterials management experience, including manufacturing work experience in materials/production planning or supply chain management.
  • Experience supporting global operational footprint.
  • Experience leading a team with an emphasis on development/coaching.
  • MS Officeproficiency, SAP Super User experience is preferred.
  • Excellent performance management skills.
  • Continuous Improvement certification (Lean, six-sigma, and/or TPM) preferred.
  • Excellent leadership skills, great attention to detail, and goal-oriented.
  • Ability to manage and supervise complex, multi-disciplinary projects.

  • Compensation: $110,000 - $125,000 range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role.
