Responsibilities

The Compliance Manager primarily supports Regional Leads by managing and coordinating all aspects of regulatory compliance and Environmental Health and Safety

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the Safety Department to provide timely required crew training on any and all safety requirements
  • Coordinate with Project Managers and crews to ensure timely submission of any MasTec required training
  • Coordinate with project managers and project coordinators on damage claims
  • Work with project coordinators to ensure timely submissions of documents pertaining to utility or property damages.
  • Ensure all claims' related documents are complete coming from the field before submitting them to the Claims Department
  • Work closely with Construction PMs to insure all UKG assigned tasks are completed.
  • Work with PMs to ensure employee Donesafe assigned training is completed.
  • Be the bridge between safety, the field crews, and the office
  • Travel to the projects for safety audits and to help PMs and Safety facilitate training
  • Coordinate with PMs to procure needed safety PPE, signage, and cones.
  • Work closely to PMs to ensure that all SSO's are being completed.
  • Ensure each project complies with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Track all employee safety and training course expiration dates
  • Promote a safety culture within our division
  • Ensure all subcontractors are meeting MasTec standards on safety.
  • Attend safety courses and pass that knowledge on to our employees.
  • Work with PM to ensure all employees are keeping up to MasTec's standards for driving compliance.
  • Keep inventory of PPE for crews and new hires
  • Work with project coordinator to record group training sessions and complete a classroom in Donesafe
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in regulatory compliance and Environmental Health and Safety a plus
  • Experience in telecommunications and construction methods a plus
  • Experience in construction, reading construction drawings, and working within the right of ways a plus
  • Expert ability to use Microsoft Office products and database systems
  • Excellent communications skills - written and oral
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Business skills should include excellent leadership & negotiation skills, strong customer orientation, excellent conflict management skills, excellent analytical & problem-solving capability, excellent communication skills both oral and written, and a strong business-minded consultative approach with a focus on profitability & margin.
  • Based out of our Shevlin, MN office with expected 60 percent travel (our projects are all over the US) required
