Architecture Marketing Lead

Job Summary
Fishbeck is seeking a strategic and hands-on Architecture Marketing Lead to help shape and advance the Architecture department's pursuit strategy and communication approach. This leadership role will drive execution of marketing initiatives aligned with departmental goals in collaboration with Architecture leadership and firm-wide marketing resources.

The Architecture Marketing Lead will focus on two primary areas: Project Capture and Communications. This individual will lead proposal efforts, guide messaging strategy, and ensure quality and consistency across Architecture-facing deliverables. The role requires a strong strategist-writer who is comfortable leading through execution, collaboration, and ideation to meaningfully impact the growth and visibility of the Architecture team.

This position reports to the Architecture Market Sector Director in a complementary partnership. While the focus will be day-to-day execution of architectural marketing efforts, the role is also expected to advance new initiatives and strengthen long-term marketing strategy.

Primary Functions
Proposal Leadership & Pursuit Support (Approximately 60%)

  • Provide preliminary review of opportunities and coordinate dissemination to department leadership.
  • Develop and refine capture strategies in collaboration with department and project leadership.
  • Lead the project capture process for Architecture pursuits, including strategic RFP analysis, identification of differentiators, proposal and interview strategy development, and content creation.
  • Translate technical outlines and concepts into compelling written and graphic narratives.
  • Establish pursuit schedules, set expectations, and coordinate resources from RFP issuance through proposal submission and debrief.
  • Collaborate with firm-wide marketing teams to maintain team resumes, project histories, and proposal standards.
  • Lead post-submission debriefs to drive continuous improvement.

Marketing & Communications (Approximately 40%)

  • Advance the internal and external visibility of Architecture by developing and overseeing a department-specific communications plan in coordination with firm-wide marketing.
  • Coordinate project photography and develop project histories in collaboration with project leadership.
  • Partner with technical teams to produce thought leadership content, including white papers and similar materials.
  • Improve consistency and quality of marketing materials across the A/E division.
  • Support website content development for Architecture.
  • Identify and develop content for speaking engagements.
  • Lead submissions for awards, recognition programs, and similar initiatives.

Minimum Physical Requirements
Mobility to work in a standard office or remote work setting, including prolonged periods of sitting and computer use. Visual acuity to review written materials and digital content. Ability to communicate effectively via phone, video conferencing, and in person. Accommodations may be made for otherwise qualified individuals.

Desired Education
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.

Desired Skills/Experience

  • 8+ years of progressive marketing experience, preferably within architecture, engineering, or professional services environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading proposal efforts and developing capture strategies.
  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives tailored to specific RFP requirements.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging messaging.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Experience in visual storytelling, media relations, and brand development.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and CRM platforms (e.g., Cosential, Deltek, or similar).
  • Ability to lead through collaboration and incorporate constructive feedback from peers and leadership.

Submission Requirements

  • Professional resume.
  • Three to five examples of past proposals led by the applicant, clearly identifying their role and the content they developed.
  • Three to five writing samples developed by the applicant (proposal samples may count if specific authored sections are identified).
