Wages

$24.00 - $26.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience; Generous Paid Time Off (PTO), plus 12 paid holidays; competitive health, dental, and vision insurance; Health Savings Account (HSA), and options for Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). There is employer paid basic life with the option for additional coverage paid by the employee. The employer pays for Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance and long-term disability insurance. PCYC sponsors a retirement plan with 25% match on your first 4% and immediate vesting.

Schedule

This position follows a regular Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. schedule, supporting standard business operations while collaborating closely with the Finance and Development teams.

PCYC is seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven Finance & Donor Coordinator to support our Finance and Development teams. This role is central to ensuring smooth office operations and accurate financial processes, with a primary focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and donor database support. The ideal candidate thrives in a nonprofit environment, values precision and confidentiality, and enjoys contributing to both financial integrity and donor engagement. Responsibilities will include the following:

Accounting & Financial Support



  • Process and record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Reconcile monthly Square and Stripe Point of Sale statements, credit card statements, and petty cash
  • Deposit cash and checks received at the office and accurately record transactions in QuickBooks Online
  • Maintain records for vendor contracts, invoices, government permits, and licenses
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate entries
  • Maintain organized records for financial audits, grants, donations, and internal reporting
  • Provide ongoing program and project budget support and reporting data to program directors


Development & Donor Support



  • Enter donation information into Blackbaud Raiser's Edge donor database
  • Process checks and create weekly donor thank-you communications
  • Assist with donor data entry and ensure records are accurate and up to date
  • Support planning and implementation of special events, including the annual gala
  • Assist with planning, production, and mailing of appeal letters
  • Manage confidential and sensitive donor and organizational information with discretion and professionalism


Who You Are



  • You have a two-year degree or at least two years of experience in a similar position.
  • You have experience working in a nonprofit, community-based organization (preferred).
  • You can demonstrate strong bookkeeping skills and precise, detail-oriented data entry.
  • You can stay organized while managing multiple financial and administrative tasks.
  • You have experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • You have knowledge of or experience with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software.
  • You are familiar with Bill.com (preferred).
  • You have experience with Blackbaud/Raiser's Edge or another CRM system (helpful).
  • You can communicate effectively with people of diverse ethnic, economic, racial, and cultural backgrounds.
  • You have excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
  • You understand nonprofit practices and are motivated to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • You have a valid driver's license, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet PCYC's driving record requirements. Please note that if the license was not issued in the state of Minnesota, you have 60 days after becoming a Minnesota resident in which to apply for your Minnesota driver's license or permit.
