CNC BAND SAW OPERATOR Kress is looking for a full time CNC Band Saw Operator to join our team in the development of specialized industrial equipment for steel, construction, and mining industries. The CNC Band Saw Operator is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC band saw equipment to accurately cut metal materials according to production specifications. The operator safely handles raw materials using appropriate equipment and follows all OSHA and company safety standards. The operator must have solid blueprint-reading and basic math skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the production team. Responsibilities - Machine Operation & Setup: Set up, program, and operate CNC band saws to cut metal/materials Quality Control: Inspect finished parts for accuracy using precision measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures Material Handling: Load and unload raw materials, such as tubes, rods, or solid steel, often using hoists or forklifts Maintenance: Perform routine, daily maintenance on equipment, including cleaning, replacing blades, and lubricating components Documentation: Maintain production logs, inventory records, and safety checklists Qualifications - High school diploma or GED equivalent 2+ years previous experience in a manufacturing environment or operating CNC machinery is preferred Ability to read and interpret blue prints, schematics, and work orders Strong basic math skills (fractions, decimals, measurements) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods Adhere to all safety protocols, including OSHA standards, wearing appropriate PPE (safety glasses, steel-toed boots), and identifying safety hazards Kress Benefits - Group Health Insurance including Prescriptions Dental Insurance Life Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Paid Vacation Paid Holidays
