Position Title: Wet Paint Technician
Salary: $45,760-$56,160/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday The Skilled Paint Technician plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality finishes on automotive products. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with advanced painting equipment in a dynamic environment, perfect for individuals eager to develop their skills in automotive finishing. This is a direct hire role in Liberty, MO. Wet Paint Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Perform advanced wet painting - Prepare product prior to paint application - Prepare paint equipment as required - Paint product per job instructions - Make adjustments to paint machine as needed to maintain good quality and production - Perform cross hatch paint adhesion test - Check all parts of paint booth for wear, malfunction, and replace as needed - Set up paint, set up and adjust paint guns, and paint samples - Troubleshoot most common recurring problems without assistance - Perform required maintenance on paint equipment - Assist in cleaning of paint booths - Handle paint, paint related materials and hazardous wastes properly - Other duties as assigned Wet Paint Technician Requirements: - Working knowledge of wet paint booth and knowledge of processes - Ability to change over color modules for paint booths - Troubleshooting skills - 1-2 years of prior painting experience - Previous automotive experience is a plus QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
