General Summary

The Truss Scheduler is responsible for maintaining the customer truss schedule for the region's plant production and delivery. Coordinates with the sales, design and production teams to support customer service needs related to truss production and to troubleshoot problems. Works under general supervision; a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required; relies on pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains frequent communication with account managers, sales assistants, inside sales coordinators, design and production to ensure the customer scheduling needs are met.
  • Corresponds regularly with customers via email and trade portals for scheduling and change orders.
  • Downloads design plans for production schedule.
  • Works with sales admin on data entry for customer pricing.
  • Tracks and shares with management weekly truss orders
  • Helps coordinate back-orders and repairs with sales, design and production.
  • Maintains a positive relationship with customers.
  • Serves as back up to sales admin and sales assistants.
  • Attends various product trainings, as needed.
  • Prepares various reports or correspondence as required.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Job Specifications

Knowledge Required

  • Minimum of high school graduate
  • Minimum two years of experience in customer services, preferred
  • Working knowledge and proficiency in the use of computer and business-related software, including Microsoft applications (Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of various office equipment (computer, scanner, etc)

Skills and abilities

  • Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing and speaking
  • Proficiency in the use of business math
  • Ability to successfully communicate with all organizational levels
  • Ability to communicate clearly via phone and email with customers, co-workers and management
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload and manage time
  • Ability to work hours mandated by management
  • Ability to pass a drug test

Working Conditions

Working environment is favorable. Requires sitting at a desk for long periods of time; up to 12 hours per day. Requires to be mobile in the work environment. Some travel may be required.

Compensation & Benefit Information:

Hourly/Salary Pay Range: $22.00-25.00 hourly dependent on experience*

*pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living
