Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and/or education, and location. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus. SUMMARY The Check Processing Supervisor reports directly to the Check Processing Manager. The incumbent must provide operational support and supervision at the direction of the Item Processing Manager in a lead capacity to Check Processing associates. Incumbent will manage the processing of checks and other items to ensure proper accounting for these items and timely processing of cash letters. This position is a lead position and will assist the supervisor responsibilities include planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 1-2 years related experience and/or training: or combination. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS COMPUTER & SOFTWARE SKILLS; List the licenses, certificates and registrations that are required to perform the essential duties of this job.
