Revenue Cycle Medical Billing MVC (Auto Accidents) Research Representative Hourly Compensation: $17 (this position is bonus eligible) Locations: Remote or On-Site Work Schedule: Full-Time, M-F 8am-5pm Central JOB SUMMARY The Revenue Cycle Medical Billing MVC Research Representative will work with law enforcement, auto insurance carriers, patients, and medical partners to verify coverage and submit applicable claims. They will problem solve, research, and resolve coordination of benefits issues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES * Utilize telephone and on-line resources to research auto related transports. * Complete adjuster follow-ups. * Analyze and process incoming payor discovery reports. * Process check requests for the purchase of accident reports. * Work to achieve team and departmental goals. * Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
QUALIFICATIONS Required Experience/Skills/Environment: * Minimum of one (1) year in healthcare revenue cycle billing environment * Above average knowledge of CMS and other government billing guidelines * Experience filing medical claims with a high rating in clean claim accuracy * Ability to work independently and as an active member of a team * Knowledge and experience of computers and related technology, including Microsoft Office, at an intermediate level * Must possess empathetic and professional written and verbal communication skills * Must have/maintain a HIPAA compliant workspace with both audio and visual protection of patient information * Must be able to work uninterrupted while on the clock
Preferred Experience: * Minimum of six (6) months working in a call center environment * Minimum of six (6) months working in a customer service position
Preferred Education: * High School diploma, GED, or equivalent in work experience
