Overview

Under moderate supervision, builds, analyzes, and interprets data and reporting that drive and support profit and growth strategies for AmTrust's Commercial Lines Portfolio. The position will evaluate the effectiveness of new rating plans across various lines of business. In addition, you will collaborate closely within Product Management and with key partners, in the formulation and implementation of state and regional pricing and underwriting strategies. Key skills will include the ability to extract, visualize and analyze data, as well as effectively communicate results and recommendations for model tuning. A highly qualified candidate will have experience in small commercial or personal lines product management. This position does not manage others but may act as a mentor.

This role will require a hybrid work schedule in any of our US AmTrust Offices.



Responsibilities

* Partners with Sales, Underwriting and Actuarial to understand business needs and feedback. Helps develop strategies based on data and market insights from business partners.

* Performs ongoing product management and development including deep dive analyses to assist in the formulation of data and market driven recommendations for product, rule, rate, or underwriting changes.

* Builds, curates, and analyzes key performance indicators for product performance, including but not limited to report-building in PowerBI or similar applications.

* Formulate recommendations based on analysis and interpretation of business results, allowing for quick and effective reaction to growth and profit challenges.

* Presents findings of analysis and partners with leaders to assist in strategic overviews to management on a routine basis.

* Provides guidance to the development of best practices across Product Management that reduce redundancy and establish consistency.



Qualifications

Required:

* Bachelor's degree preferably in a discipline requiring critical thinking and analytical skills.

* Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related analytical role is required.

* Analytical & problem-solving skills, including the ability to encourage new ways of looking at problems, processes, and solutions.

* Solution-oriented individual with ability to think strategically and implement change.

* Experience pursuing long-term goals while balancing the short-term needs of the organization.

* Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.

* Experience with data extraction and visualization and/or reporting.

* Strong presentations skills, including the ability to effectively communicate complex data and insights to diverse audiences.

* Ability to self-direct; managing time and goals effectively with minimal supervision in both "build" and "run" stage business environments simultaneously.

Preferred:

* Experience in Personal Lines or Commercial Lines Product (Management or Development), Pricing and/or Underwriting in a comparable role is strongly preferred.

* Knowledge of SQL and PowerBI or similar data visualization and reporting tools.

The expected salary range for this role is $96,400-$138,000/year.
