Description and Requirements

The Quality Data Engineer Intern will support quality improvement initiatives by leveraging data analytics, quality engineering principles, and crossfunctional collaboration. This role partners closely with Quality, Product, Supplier Quality, and Operations teams to analyze field and manufacturing data, support the Quality Management System (QMS), and drive continuous product and process improvement. This internship offers handson exposure to hardware quality, operational excellence, and datadriven decision making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by helping maintain and enhance an effective Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Apply Operational Excellence and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to improve processes and reduce field defects
  • Collect, analyze, and report quality KPI metrics to support datadriven product and process improvements
  • Perform quality data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Act as a customer advocate by supporting Product Ship activities and participating in daily quality rollup discussions
  • Collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineers on commodity quality topics and supplier failure analysis (FA) activities
  • Verify accuracy, structure, and categorization of storage and commodity data within analytics and reporting tools
  • Support Product Engineering teams by providing field quality and reliability data insights
  • Assist with technical quality assurance activities and quality reviews during product design and development phases
  • Coordinate and support Lessons Learned (FuPan) reviews and documentation
  • Work effectively with virtual, crossfunctional teams and communicate findings to engineering and management stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, Business Operations, Project Management ro a related technical field
  • Exposure to or interest in Quality Engineering within manufacturing, service, or hardware development environments
  • Familiarity with server and storage hardware concepts (academic or internship experience acceptable)
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to interpret data and communicate insights clearly
  • Comfortable working in a teambased, fastpaced environment
