Description Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of a DoD Compliant Landing Zone on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role is critical in supporting the migration of applications and servers from on-premise VMware environments to OCI, ensuring compliance with stringent security standards and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Lift-and-Shift and Re-platforming strategies, with a strong background in cloud security, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). This position requires the ability to lead DevOps and engineering operations teams to ensure seamless migrations and operational success. While the initial focus is on OCI, future work may expand to include multi-cloud environments, requiring a versatile and forward-thinking approach to cloud architecture. Position Overview The Senior Cloud Architect provides senior leadership to a team within an engineering organization supporting Health Mission Systems within Leidos. This role is accountable for technical oversight and direction across the Oracle Cloud Migration team reporting to the Chief Engineer. The Technical Lead works closely with their team and other technical teams to ensure alignment with Chief Engineer and customer specified system component transitions from on-prem to cloud service provider infrastructure.
