Postproduction Hull Support Analyst (Junior Level)

Location: Washington, DC

Travel: Up to 25%

Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

Overview

Sayres Defense is seeking a motivated JR Postproduction Hull Support Analyst to provide programmatic and administrative support for post-delivery hull activities, trials, and production test events in support of U.S. Navy shipbuilding programs.

This role supports Guarantee Deficiency Report (GDR), OEM coordination, and Post Delivery, Test & Trials (PDT&T) activities.

Key Responsibilities

Guarantee Deficiency Report (GDR) Support



  • Provide administrative support for GDR processes
  • Track GDR actions, documentation, and status updates
  • Maintain GDR logs and reporting metrics
  • Coordinate non-technical documentation and follow-ups


OEM Management Support



  • Coordinate OEM quotes and Statements of Work (SOW) tracking for PDT&T test events.
  • Manage base access documentation and coordination
  • Track SOW execution and deliverables
  • Support communication between program office and OEMs


Trial & Test Event Support



  • Assist in the preparation and tracking of test procedures
  • Manage document control for test procedures and support materials
  • Track lessons learned and post-trial feedback
  • Support SOE (Schedule of Events) preparation and management
  • Provide onsite Trial Central support
  • Support underway trial events


PDT&T Coordination



  • Assist with coordination of Post Delivery, Test & Trial (PDT&T) events
  • Assist with tracking PDT&T tasking and ensure milestone alignment
  • Support event logistics and stakeholder coordination


Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree (Maritime Academy graduate preferred)
  • Strong organizational and task-tracking skills
  • Experience with document control and coordination processes
  • Ability to support onsite and underway trial events
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to obtain secret clearance


Preferred Qualifications



  • Familiarity with U.S. Navy shipbuilding programs
  • Experience supporting trials, waterfront events, or test execution
  • Knowledge of production or post-delivery support environments
  • Active Secret clearance


Work Environment



  • Hybrid support based in Washington, DC
  • Up to 25% travel to shipyards and waterfront locations
  • Occasional shipboard and underway support required
