Ingram Content Group(ICG) is currently seeking a Senior Data Engineer tojoin our team inLaVergne, TN(Greater Nashville area). This person leveragesthe latest ETL/ELT technologies including data pipeline designprinciplesand integration patternsas a basis forsupportinganalytics and an enterprisedata warehouse. Performs complex and senior leveldata integration pattern design and development activitiesin support of maintainingboth legacy and moderndata sourcing.Performs all aspects of thedevelopmentlife cycle. Delivers results throughimpeccable work ethic and perseverance to seek growth. This position will be hybrid and work from the Ingram headquarters 4 days per week.

The ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, IT, or a closely related technical field.
  • 6 years ofETL,development,and /or database architectural designexperience.
  • 2 years of experience with writing andoptimizingexisting complex SQL queries
  • 2 years of database application development experience
  • 3years of professional experience with database technologies and ETL/ELTtoolsand scripting.

We have a preference for:

  • Knowledge ofmodernizing orconsolidatinglegacy siloed databases.
  • Strong knowledge across multiple database technologies including both columnar and row indexed relational DBs such as Vertica and SQL Server.
  • Knowledgeofschema drivendesign, development, and administration.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, relational databases, query authoring
  • Ability to executeSQL, T-SQL, ETL/ELT scripting, and automation techniques.
  • Knowledge of common tools for Linux (logs, piping, redirections, grep, sed, yum)
  • Knowledge of Linux scripting (Python, Perl, shell scripts)
  • Experience with architecting data modeling and meeting requirements for data visualization or reporting tools
  • Knowledge of data concepts around change datacapture, andslowly changing dimensions

The Sr Data Software Engineer key responsibilities are:

  • Creates, develops,modifies, andmaintainsdatapipelinesforinternal and external facing dataapplicationsas part of an Agile/SCRUM engineering team.
  • Collaborate heavily with data modeling and subject matter expertsbased ondata drivenindustry best practices.
  • Deliverssolutionsto provide full product life cycle support,collaborating within and across teams, databasedevelopmentand deployment.
  • Exploresnew technologiesand development techniques to foster innovation.
  • Coordinates and communicates with users, developers, and product ownersto design and implement solutions thatservicesthe end user.
  • Mentors anddevelopsjunior engineers through code reviews,co-developmentand best practices.
  • Assembles large and complex data sets that meet business requirements.
  • Develops design patterns, standards, documentation, etc. and works with other developers for implementation.
  • Providedataintegrationoversight for Third Party integrations and database core components.

Hiring Salary Range:$110,981k-$141,123k.This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to: the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
