Electropolishing Supervisor
We are seeking an experienced Electropolishing Supervisor to lead and oversee our electropolishing operations. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring high-quality surface finishing, process consistency, team development, and safe operations within the polishing area. You will play a key role in driving quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement in our manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Operations
Supervise daily electropolishing activities, including scheduling, work assignments, and prioritization to meet production goals. Lead, train, and coach team members to ensure compliance with quality standards, safety procedures, and work instructions. Provide technical guidance on electropolishing parameters such as voltage, current density, temperature, cycle time, solution chemistry, and racking methods. Review work orders, drawings, and specifications to ensure proper execution of processes. Monitor production performance, identify process deviations, and implement corrective actions. Oversee inspection activities to ensure parts meet surface finish, cleanliness, and dimensional requirements. Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for nonconforming products in collaboration with Quality and Engineering. Ensure equipment reliability by overseeing preventative maintenance of tanks, power supplies, and ventilation systems. Monitor chemical usage and ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations. Enforce safety standards, PPE compliance, and proper handling of chemicals and electrical systems. Maintain accurate production, quality, maintenance, and training records. Promote a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
Work Schedule:
Fixed schedule (Second shift 2-11pm). Some early morning, evening, or weekend work may be required based on business needs. Occasional travel may be required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. 5+ years of experience in a production supervisory role. Experience with electropolishing, nickel plating, or chrome plating processes. Strong understanding of surface finishing operations and quality standards. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions. Basic computer skills.
