Job Summary:

The Director of Sales is a strategic and driven leader responsible for delivering measurable growth and sustained success across SCR's sales organization. This role focuses on building and optimizing sales processes, driving sustainable revenue growth, and strengthening account management practices across all business lines.

The Director will design and implement scalable sales strategies, establish consistent processes and metrics, and ensure the team is equipped with the tools and coaching needed for success. The Director will also oversee and mentor the Sales Manager and Business Development Manager, providing leadership, accountability, and professional development to ensure alignment and execution of company sales goals.

This role will report directly to ownership and is responsible for creating measurable metrics and achieving defined sales goals. A key part of the role is fostering long-term client relationships, enhancing customer retention, identifying and developing expansion opportunities, and ensuring a seamless transition from new business to ongoing account management.

Partnering with ownership, operations, marketing, and service, the Director of Sales will align sales efforts with overall company goals while upholding SCR's core values.

Responsibilities:

  • Set the standard for safety excellence by leading your departments in consistent adherence to established protocols and fostering a proactive culture of safety.
  • Design, implement, and continually enhance a standardized sales process that drives efficiency, ensures consistency, and delivers predictable, measurable outcomes.
  • Define and implement clear sales metrics, KPIs, and reporting systems to accurately measure performance, track progress, and forecast revenue.
  • Collaborate with department leaders and company ownership to align strategies and achieve shared revenue goals.
  • Implement sales tools, CRM best practices, and automation to streamline the sales cycle, improve efficiency, and enhance data-driven decision-making.
  • Analyze the sales process to identify opportunities to accelerate the sales cycle and increase win rates.
  • Lead and support account management activities to strengthen long-term customer relationships, maximize retention, and drive sustainable revenue growth.
  • Partner with managers to identify and capitalize on upselling, cross-selling, and account expansion opportunities to drive additional revenue.
  • Cultivate and maintain executive-level relationships with key accounts to strengthen partnerships and drive long-term business growth.
  • Facilitate seamless transitions from new business sales to ongoing account management, ensuring continuity, customer satisfaction, and long-term retention.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach the sales and business development teams to consistently achieve targets while supporting professional development and career growth.
  • Promote a collaborative, customer-first culture within the sales organization to drive engagement, accountability, and exceptional client experiences.
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and customer success teams to align company objectives with customer needs and ensure a seamless, integrated approach to client satisfaction.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments to inform strategy and maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Provide actionable feedback to leadership on product and service enhancements based on customer insights and evolving market needs.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to strengthen brand presence, build relationships, and generate business opportunities.
  • Develop and execute strategic action plans for managing key accounts and prospects to maximize growth, retention, and revenue opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to drive profitable sales and long-term business growth.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure all customer requests are fulfilled accurately, efficiently, and on time.
  • Resolve customer complaints promptly while monitoring and managing processes to ensure customer needs and expectations are consistently met.
  • Act as the customer's representative, ensuring their requirements are met and driving improvements in the overall customer experience.
  • Execute a range of sales and customer service activities, including sales support, customer research, job estimation, system design, and coordination, to ensure client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Identify and engage with sales prospects and assign accounts to generate new business opportunities and expand client relationships.
  • Continuously develop and expand product knowledge to provide expert guidance, support sales efforts, and enhance the customer experience.
  • Oversee the performance review process for all departments you manage, ensuring employees receive regular feedback, coaching, and development opportunities to drive accountability and growth.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, , or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, including at least 3 years in a director-level role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with a solid foundation in general computer skills and basic software applications.
  • Proven success in implementing sales processes and delivering measurable results.
  • Strong expertise in account management and building long-term customer relationships.
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and leveraging data for sales management and decision making.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage internal company relationships effectively to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to support client meetings, events, or business needs.
  • Current valid driver's license with a clean driving record.



Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing office work, attending meetings, or at customer sites.
  • Required to climb ladders, stairs, and navigate customer sites safely.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods during site inspections.
  • Comfortable with exposure to various customer environments, including noise, dust, and varying weather conditions.
  • Frequent use of computers, phone, and other standard office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person, on the phone, and in virtual meetings.
  • Ability to travel between multiple sites as required.
  • Must have the capacity to hear and communicate clearly in both office and noisy environments.
  • Expected to travel between customer and company sites as needed.
  • Occasional travel to trade shows, requiring overnight stays.
  • Ability to lift or carry light items such as laptops, presentation materials, or documents as needed.
