What you'll do



  • Conduct timely chart reviews to identify medical and social needs; partner with providers to obtain necessary clearances.
  • Make the initial outreach to patients and families, building rapport and establishing expectations for the surgical pathway.
  • Coordinate and optimize the preoperative workflow to ensure patients are medically prepared and scheduled efficiently for the OR.
  • Provide skilled preop/postop nursing, triage, and ongoing education to promote safe, successful recoveries.
  • Teach and manage orthopaedic education classes that prepare patients for surgery and rehabilitation.
  • Maintain consistent, clear communication with the multidisciplinary orthopaedics team to keep the patient's plan on track.

Qualifications:



  • Current Maryland or Compact RN license


  • 5 years of orthopaedic nursing experience preferred
  • Previous program coordinator esperience preferred
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office required
  • Able to conduct patient education calsses via Zoom
  • CPR certification - AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted
  • BSN reqired, MSN preferred



Salary Range: Minimum 51.22/hour - Maximum 79.39/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
