Senior Marketing Manager (IC)

Remote (U.S. - Central, Mountain, or Pacific preferred)

Compensation: $140,000 - $150,000 + performance-based bonus

The Opportunity

We're hiring a Senior Marketing Manager to take ownership of our marketing performance and brand activation.

This is a high-impact, individual contributor role reporting directly to the CEO. You'll step into a business that has grown quickly through SEO and SEM, but needs stronger leadership across social, email, and creative-especially video-to unlock the next phase of growth.

You'll get to set the direction, choose the channels and then execute.

This role is ideal for someone who:



  • Is both strategic and hands-on
  • Knows how to drive agency performance
  • Wants to eventually build a team, but is comfortable starting as a true IC
  • Can decide how best to leverage AI to get the most out of our team and resources.
  • Enjoys working in a fun and emotionally powerful product category: gifting!


Key Responsibilities


Performance Marketing Ownership

  • Own performance across social, email, and video-driven acquisition channels
  • Evaluate, select, and manage external agencies and contractors
  • Launch and optimize campaigns with a primary focus on revenue growth, while holding a high creative standard.


Email Marketing & Lifecycle

  • Own or oversee email strategy and execution
  • Improve campaign quality, segmentation, and performance
  • Partner with technical stakeholders on automation and tooling improvements


Brand & Upper Funnel (Secondary)

  • Monitor and improve brand presence across platforms like Reddit and Trustpilot
  • Support content initiatives (e.g., gift-related content, seasonal campaigns)
  • Help manage how the brand is represented in AI-driven search


Systems & Optimization

  • Use tools like Google Analytics, Klaviyo, and Figma
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, tools, and marketing infrastructure
  • Leverage emerging tools (AI, automation) where relevant


Qualifications


Required

  • 6-10+ years of experience in performance marketing or growth roles
  • Strong hands-on experience in delivering:


    • Video performance marketing (YouTube, Demand Gen, Performance Max, Reels, Tiktok etc.)

    • Paid and/or organic social
    • Marketing & Lifecycle email


  • Ability to operate as both a strategist and executor
  • Strong creative judgment and ability to give clear, high-quality feedback
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with executive leadership


Nice to Have

  • Experience in SEO & SEM
  • Experience with AI-driven marketing tools or automation
  • Exposure to brand/reputation management (Reddit, Trustpilot, etc.)
  • Experience marketing to a female consumer audience
  • Background in seasonal or holiday-driven businesses
