Job Description




As a Security Officer Patrol Services Associate in Redwood City, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this dynamic role, you will support daily operations with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while helping create a welcoming environment for tenants, guests, and staff.

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, maintenance concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related issues to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout building interiors, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, observe visitor and contractor activity, and support lobby and property operations by following post orders and assisting with security-related requests.
  • Communicate clearly with tenants, guests, vendors, and first responders during routine operations and/or incident response while maintaining detailed daily activity and incident reports.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
