Vice President – (job location is New York, NY; employer is Nomura Holding America, Inc.) – Prepare financial reporting and regional reporting packages for parent company under US GAAP as applied to broker-dealers. Review and analyze monthly financial results including broker-dealer balance sheets, trading inventory, repurchase agreements, securities lending agreements. Communicate with funds in company’s investment portfolio to obtain sufficient information for booking. Review private equity and debt positions and provide necessary support. Prepare financial statement footnote information including financial instruments fair value hierarchy information, gross derivative and counterparty/ collateral netting information, cash flow information, restriction on use of asset, and detail of credit derivative transactions for submission to parent company in Japan. Facilitate quarterly due diligence process to support debt issuance, including coordinating and holding due diligence meetings with headquarters, auditor, and distributors. Review financials of any newly acquired assets. Review monthly closing for accuracy and provide support as necessary. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or Accounting, and 5 years of progressive post-Bachelor’s experience in the offered position or financial reporting role at a global bank or financial services institution. All required experience must have included: leading team of at least 8 financial reporting professionals in preparing consolidated financial statements for a global bank or financial services institution; performing financial closing activities as controller at an SEC registered foreign private issuer; calculating group Earnings Per Share/Return on Equity (EPS/ROE); participating in due diligence process of issuance of SEC registered and other debt securities; maintaining system of consolidated financial reporting according to US GAAP; and preparing and filing Form F-3 Registration Statement and related disclosures to SEC. #LI-DNI.
