You will get to be the face of The Missouri Botanical Garden during your shift. You may interact with Garden employees, visitors, vendors, and donors. Under general supervision, performs and maintains the internal and external appearance of the Garden. Paid training will be provided to ensure you are ready and prepared to welcome visitors to The Missouri Botanical Garden.

What You'll Do (Highlights)

• Perform general daily housekeeping duties
• Event Set-up duties require setting up tables, chairs
• Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to visitors and employees at all times
• Ensure that all recycled compost and landfill materials are placed in the correct containers
• Reports all accidents, injuries, and near-miss accidents immediately to your supervisor
• Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, washing surfaces, emptying trash, and other duties as assigned

What You'll Need For Success

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Be willing to learn new procedures
• Present a professional attitude at all times under the scrutiny of the general public
• Meet productivity standards
• Ability to read instructions and to understand the label on cleaning products
• Ability to multitask in a sometimes fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift 30-60 pounds
• Ability and willingness to work in varying temperatures and all-weather conditions
• Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Additional Details:

This position starts at $16.00 per hour.
