Maintenance - Ellenwood Hatchery (Days)

Pay Range: $19.00 - $28.75 per hour (based on experience)

• To maintain and direct all maintenance activities, ensuring that all hatchery equipment is operating safely and at peak efficiency.
• Maintain and monitor a parts inventory that is economical and within budgeted costs.
• Responsible for general maintenance of equipment and buildings.
• Maintains a parts inventory, to include ordering and receiving of the same.
• Conducts plant safety audits.
• Coordinates and complies with plant preventative maintenance programs.
• Completes special projects as needed.
• Does electrical troubleshooting, A/C and/or electronics.
• Provides hatchery relief labor under emergency situation.

• Must be able to monitor and direct maintenance personnel so that all job requests are completed in a safe and timely manner.
• Must be able to monitor and control a parts inventory in a cost-effective manner that is within budgeted costs.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Must have strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to move 100 pounds.
• Must have strong welding skills.
• Must have good electrical knowledge.
• 4 - 6 years' experience in the hatcheries preferred.
• Must maintain an acceptable DMV record.
• Pallet jack and forklift training.
• Respirator training.
