Lead a HighImpact Structural Engineering Team

FSB is seeking a Structural Engineering Manager to lead the design and delivery of complex building projects across aviation, civic, education, federal, commercial, tribal, and missioncritical markets. This is a technical and peoplefocused leadership role where you'll guide engineering standards, oversee multidisciplinary coordination, and support the professional growth of a talented structural team.

If you're a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with expertise in structural systems and a passion for mentoring and improving processes, this role offers the opportunity to influence how resilient, efficient, and buildable structures come to life.

What You'll Lead

  • Direct and manage a team of structural engineers and technicians across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Oversee planning, staffing, scheduling, and workload allocation to meet scope and deadlines.
  • Lead structural design, structural analysis, and project delivery for steel, concrete, masonry, wood, foundations, gravity systems, and lateral systems.
  • Oversee construction documents, drawings, specifications, structural calculations, and code-compliant design documentation.
  • Serve as a subjectmatter expert in IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, constructability, and interdisciplinary coordination.
  • Improve standards, workflows, templates, and QA/QC processes for consistency and efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers and other disciplines to align design, schedule, and budget requirements.

Team & Performance Leadership

  • Coach, mentor, and develop engineering staff through feedback and performance evaluations.
  • Monitor team utilization and performance, identifying gaps, risks, or resource needs early.
  • Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and workforce planning to build a highperforming team.
  • Foster a culture of communication, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineering (ABET required); master's preferred.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive structural engineering experience, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of building systems, materials, codes, and constructability.
  • Proficiency in Revit, BIM coordination, RISA3D, RISA Floor, ADAPT, Bluebeam, and industrystandard tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines, priorities, and multiple projects.

Core Leadership & Technical Skills: Structural design, structural analysis, building systems, steel, concrete, masonry, foundations, gravity and lateral systems, Revit, BIM, RISA-3D, construction documents, construction administration, IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, QA/QC, team leadership, mentoring, and interdisciplinary coordination.
