Location: Phoenix, AZ
Employment Type: 12-Month Contract (Potential for Extension)

Compensation: $55-$65/hour DOE
Schedule: Hybrid (Onsite twice a month after training)| M-F, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM AZ Time | Flexibility required for after-hours/weekend support
Position Summary

The AMI Systems Analyst III plays a critical role in supporting and optimizing the Command Center, ensuring reliable meter communications and high-quality data delivery across enterprise systems. This position is responsible for monitoring system performance, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining overall system health to support key utility functions such as billing, outage management, field operations, and customer service.

This role works cross-functionally with IT, Meter Infrastructure, Field Services, and external vendors to ensure system stability, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the AMI ecosystem.

What You'll Do:
  • Monitor and support daily operations of the Landis+Gyr AMI Command Center to ensure reliable system performance
  • Troubleshoot system alerts, communication failures, and data inconsistencies
  • Maintain system health through routine checks, validations, and performance reviews
  • Collaborate with IT, Meter Infrastructure, Field Services, and vendors to resolve issues efficiently
  • Analyze system trends and identify opportunities to improve performance and reliability
  • Ensure accurate and timely collection of meter data (interval, register, and event data)
  • Monitor system health, communication performance, and scheduled jobs
  • Perform root cause analysis for recurring system issues and implement corrective actions
  • Track incidents and resolutions within enterprise systems such as ServiceNow
  • Support AMI system integrations with MDMS, GIS, and other enterprise platforms
  • Assist with system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes
  • Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks
  • Provide performance metrics and reporting to leadership
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute system patching across Windows, Linux, and AMI environments
  • Validate patch performance, conduct post-patch system checks, and support rollback procedures if needed
  • Ensure compliance with security, vulnerability remediation, and audit requirements
Job Requirements
What you'll bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting AMI systems (Landis+Gyr Command Center) or utility operational applications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Windows/Linux servers and basic network concepts (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with Strong technical knowledge within system operations and related technical environments
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a 24x7 production support environment (on-call support preferred)
