Who we are looking for:

The Teller position is responsible for providing excellent customer service while performing a variety of lobby and drive-thru transactions for bank customers by assisting them with processing routine financial transactions on a day-to-day basis. The position requires prompt, efficient, and accurate service when processing transactions in accordance with all bank policy and procedure. Success in this job relies on your time management skills, organization, and positive attitude.

Hours are approximately 11-6 Monday through Friday, and rotating Saturdays 7:45-12:00.

What you'll do:



  • Responsible for comprehensive, prompt, and efficient customer transactions
  • Receives checks and cash for deposits to accounts, verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsement, and enters deposits into computer records
  • Count checks and packages coins and currency
  • Assist in the bank-by-mail function
  • Issue cashier's checks and gift cards
  • Promote and explain other financial institution services such as a consumer and mortgage loan, IRA's, certificates of deposit, safe deposit boxes and cashier's checks
  • Responsible for checking night depository bags and recording proper information on the financial institution's forms
  • Receive consumer loan and other payments, and ensures the payments match balances due
  • Ensures the teller station is properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc.
  • Balance cash drawer at the end of shift and compares totaled amount to computer-generated proof sheet
  • Report any discrepancies to the supervisor/management as necessary
  • Assist in balancing bank products at end of day.
  • Perform fraud review for mobile check deposits.
  • Assist in other daily teller tasks such as applying postage to outgoing mail, directing incoming faxes and mail and answer phones.
  • Will follow established processes and guidelines in daily activities and adhere to all applicable laws and regulations.

  • Basic working knowledge of standard office equipment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and effectively
  • Highly reliable with the ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant experience in banking or financial services a plus
