Allied Mechanical Services: Quoting & Warehouse Operations Specialist

Job description:

Allied Mechanical Service, a Smart Care Company, is seeking a reliable and detail-orientedWarehouse Specialistto support our commercial refrigeration operations. This role is critical to ensure accurate inventory management, efficient parts handling, and timely deliveries to support field service technicians and customer installations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Job Quoting:
    • Possess a sense of urgency to deliver solutions for our technicians and customers
    • A strong communicator with the willingness to work with technicians to build accurate quotes for customers
    • Assist with sourcing parts, searching for best price and communicating with OEMs daily
    • Creating and entering PO's
  • Receiving & Inventory Management:
  • Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments of parts, supplies, and equipment.
  • Accurately label and stock inventory in designated locations.
  • Perform routine inventory cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits.
  • Order Fulfillment & Distribution:
  • Pick, pack, and prepare parts orders for field technicians and customer jobs.
  • Stage and coordinate outgoing shipments for timely delivery or pickup.
  • Maintain WILL CALL area for local order pickups.
  • Delivery of parts to field as needed
  • Warehouse Organization:
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized warehouses and storage areas.
  • Rotate stock to ensure proper inventory flow and prevent obsolescence or damage.
  • Dispose of obsolete, damaged, or excess inventory according to company policy.
  • Returns & Warranty Handling:
  • Process warranty returns and coordinate with manufacturers for RMA issuance.
  • Ensure unused or excess parts are returned to vendors for credit, in coordination with operations.
  • Safety & Equipment Use:
  • Follow all company safety guidelines and operating procedures.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (training provided if needed).
  • Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to management immediately.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid, state issued driver's license
  • Previous warehouse, logistics, or inventory control experience (preferably in HVAC/R or mechanical trades).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.
  • Basic computer skills; experience with inventory management systems a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying warehouse conditions.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
