Employee Occupational Health & Wellness is looking for a Program Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will support the programs that keep Duke Health's workforce safe, compliant, and ready to care for others.

You will work hands-on with initiatives like vaccination campaigns, compliance tracking, and employee health programs, partnering with teams across the organization to keep everything running smoothly. Key Responsibilities

Program Administration & Compliance Coordination



  • Develop, implement, and monitor processes supporting Animal Handler, Blood and Body Fluid, VaxTrax COVID initiatives, and annual Flu Campaigns.
  • Maintain project documentation and ensure timely completion of deliverables aligned with program goals and quality standards.
  • Enter compliance data and generate reports using the Net Health electronic health record to track and communicate compliance status.
  • Manage systems for tracking, reporting, and communicating employee compliance requirements.


Immunization & Compliance Oversight



  • Oversee and coordinate the Kuali process for documenting required employee immunizations.
  • Review and process flu exemption documentation in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure compliance initiatives are executed efficiently and accurately.


Clinical & Vaccine Program Support



  • Coordinate and participate in clinic and offsite testing and vaccination events.
  • Administer and document vaccines following established policies and procedures, including documentation of adverse reactions.
  • Oversee and coordinate vaccine distribution across DUHS departments.


Training, Communication & Program Support



  • Train new employees on program processes, systems, and compliance procedures.
  • Develop immunization forms, presentations, and educational materials using standard office software.
  • Present compliance and immunization information during orientations and training sessions.
  • Collaborate with University and DUHS leadership to communicate policy updates based on guidance from ACIP and CDC.


Operational Support



  • Provide administrative and operational support across EOHW clinic locations in Durham and Raleigh.
  • Assist with additional EOHW duties and special projects as needed to support departmental priorities.

Minimum Requirements:



  • Work requires analytical, communications and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree program.
  • Work requires one year of experience in program administration or involving academic, instructional, or counseling activities to acquire skills necessary to plan, coordinate and implement a variety of program activities and events.
  • OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience working in the medical field preferred
  • Basic EMT certification, Certified Medical Assistant, or other health related degree a plus
  • Ability to provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting standards and monitoring performance
  • Skills using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions to problems
  • Skills evaluating program performance, summarizing findings, communicating results, and forming an action plan
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint a plus

Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $44,766.00 to USD $71,706.00.
