Technical Writer (Product Development)

Location: Raymond, OH

Pay: $27.30-$40.60/hr

Employment Type: Contract (Onsite)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to support product development teams by creating clear, structured documentation that improves workflows and knowledge sharing. This role is ideal for someone who can translate complex technical processes into easy-to-understand materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain process documentation, SOPs, test manuals, and training materials
• Translate input from engineers and SMEs into clear, standardized documentation
• Document workflows, roles, responsibilities, and inputs/outputs for key processes
• Develop training materials to support onboarding and process adoption
• Review and revise documentation with cross-functional teams for accuracy and approval
• Maintain documentation repositories using SharePoint and collaboration tools
• Support reporting and presentations on documentation progress

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of technical writing experience
• Proven experience creating process documentation and SOPs
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across engineering and business teams
• Proficiency with SharePoint (required); Confluence and automation tools a plus
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Experience documenting software and/or physical testing processes preferred

• Detail-oriented with excellent writing and editing skills
